Over 45 years ago while snooping around in my Grandma and Grandpa Kerber's attic, I found a shoebox overflowing with old photographs and tin-types which turned out to be family members. Grandma allowed me to keep my treasure with the promise that I would take care and share it.
This website is the culmination of my promise. It's my joy to introduce these people to all of you, hoping some of you will be Kerber Kousins from the "old countries" in Europe and other places in the United States.
On the right, you will see the surnames of all Peter and Katharina's descendents.
I have tried to make getting around in here as easy as I can but this site has been created in two formats so a few instructions may help.
On pages looking like this, you can use the tabs at the top and bottom to go directly to the different areas. On the other pages, you will need to use the back and forth arrows at the top left of your browser pages. I'm trying to fix this.
On each page you will find lots of pictures and documents. Click your mouse on each if you want to see it enlarged. You will also see some words in green. Click your mouse if you want to be taken to a webpage of further interest.
Below is a brief description of what you will find in each section.
A short article of Peter & Adelheida Kerber and sons from Westpruessen
A list of all descendants of which I'm aware. Click on the name to be taken to their webpage. Once on the pages, you will see pictures, documents in small size. Click your mouse on them to enlarge. You will also see text in the color brown. If you will click your mouse on it, you will be taken to websites for more information.
For all those who are related through Herman Kerber Sr. and Louise Seifert Marker Kerber, I am creating another website to share our family history. This is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, in which our ancestor participated. Also her brother Fred participated in WWI. Once this is finished, I think you will find it interesting.
Kerber Military Honors to those Kerberkousins past and present.
There is a link called Kerber Polka Page dedicated to Herman Kerber's love of the dance and the music.
