Nicholas Knoth Family Tree

If you are a descendent of Louise then you are connected to this family tree
through her mother Anna Knoth Seifert and to the Huber Family Tree through her
Grandmother Louise Huber Knoth.
The numbers represent the generations
from the Nicholas & Elizabeth who came from Hesse-Darmstadt, a
province of Germany. #2 are
their children. #3 their grandchildren and so on and so forth.
There very well may be more to this family tree. I have not
worked on it in about twenty years

Knoth Surname:
So far I have found that the origin is Anglo-Saxon, which of course
is German.
German: nickname for a gnarled or crude person, from
Middle High German
knode,
knote ‘knot’. Compare
Knoll,
Knorr.
I asked my Grandma (Louise Seifert Kerber) once she heard the name
pronounced. The K was "hard" and quick followed by nut - the h
on the end was not pronounced.
