Lillian Georgia Kerber & Anthony Peter Seraitella

Lillian Georgia Kerber was born November 28, 1907 probably at home.  I always heard her called Georgie.  I know the Kerber farm was located near Saxton and Easton, in Buchanan County, Missouri and that the George family also lived in Easton or nearby; but I don't know where Herman and Effie were living at her birth.

I know very little about Aunt Georgie.  I am hoping that her only relative, her niece Joanne will see this one day and email me.  The family lost track of each other and I very much would like to reconnect.

She was 17 when her mother died.   It must have been very hard for her to lose her mother and equally hard to then share her father with her new step-mother, my Grandmother Louise Seifert.  I do remember hearing that after their marriage, she preferred to live with her George grandparents in Easton.

I know that she moved to California and worked for her Aunt Clara Kerber   only because I have a couple pictures of her with Clara.

Here she is shown with her blended family on a visit to Missouri.  Back row: Half-brother Herman Jr., Step-mother Louise, Father Herman Sr., Georgia, Brother Gayle    Front row:  Half-sister Betty, Half-sister Clara, Niece Joanne, Half-sister Helen

She married a man from there named Anthony Peter Seraitella, born March 1, 1904, who was always called Tony August 1, 1931.     Tony is top left

November 28, 1060 she had this picture taken

There were no children born to this couple, but I believe their marriage was a happy one until he died March 30, 1963.  His body was sent back to Missouri to be buried in the cemetery were so many George family members rest, Moxley Cemetery near Easton, Buchanan CO, MO.

I believe I heard that she took care of a special needs child until her death July 25, 1987.  Grandpa had her brought back and laid next to her infant brother, Lee Gerald Kerber in Moxley.
