I remember Aunt Mae being in the Methodist Hospital in St. Joseph at the same time her sister-in-law and my Grandmother Louise Seifert Kerber was also in the hospital. I was sitting with her when a nurse pushed Aunt May by wheel chair in to visit. Aunt Mae took Grandma's hand who was very weak and weary to speak. These two elderly ladies who had weathered so many of life's storms and knew they had little time left in this world just sat looking into each other's eyes.
Louie died October 18, 1964 and Mae lived on until May 22, 1978. Their resting place is at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Joseph, Missouri
