They had one child, Louis Pascal Kerber, born January 10, 1914.
Viola Marie, but known by everyone as Buddy, Degen married January 22, 1936. 
I visited their home after he retired from farming several times. They
were such a sweet couple. Of course all of the Kerber's that I can
remember were jolly and loved a good joke and boisterous laugh. Also very
hospitable and welcoming to everyone. Louis was very interested in family
history and enjoyed sharing information. It never occurred to me to
interview him and Buddy on their own lives! Now that opportunity is gone.
They were also very generous people. When he passed, he shared his legacy
with his cousins; one of them being my Mother who had little on which to live
out her life. I am very grateful to these kind hearted family members.
They never had children of their own so their line is gone now.
But they will be remembered through this website.
Buddy passed into eternity August 29, 1993 and Louis died April 4, 1998. They rest at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Frederick Avenue, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri.
