Mollie was born October 14, 1886, the fourth child and second daughter to Henry and Adelheida Kerber. Like the other siblings, she was christened October 24, 1886 #91 member of St. Paul Lutheran Church MO-Synod; St. Joseph, MO. Herman Reents and Johanna Kerber are listed as sponsors.
Mollie
loved the out-of-doors and preferred to work with her brothers than in the house
with her sisters. She loved growing flowers and working in the garden all of her
life. Gene Kerber remembered that she had a large iris garden to the South of
her house.
I understand that she had a sweetheart, Robert Curt Liebscher, but her father felt that she was too young to be courted. To mend his heart, Robert left home and went into the military.
Mollie also had a love of music and loved to play the piano. She began seeing a young man named (Adelbert -German spelling) Albert (English) Geis born December 8, 1870. I don't know where. By chance, he had a piano and offered to pay for lessons if only she would marry him.
Newspaper clipping of the announcement
So they were married October 16, 1906. Two boys were born to them; Edward Martin Geis, born November 11, 1908 and Alfred Albert Geis, born May 9, 1911.
Mollie's husband was killed in October 20, 1914, in a boiler accident. I have two accounts: one that the welding shop he owned and operated in St. Joseph, MO. He would have been 43 at his death. He and Mollie had been married only a few days over eight years.

Edward passed away November 30, 1979. I am hoping for more information.
Seven years after Mr. Geis was killed, Mollie reunited with Robert and married April 4, 1921. This union produced Anna Marie whom I am trying to contact to learn more about Molly's life. He was a farmer and she a farmer's wife.

Anna Marie Liebscher was born March 9, 1924. She was christened that year, probably later that month at Zion Evangelical Church in St. Joseph, MO.
Earl Marvin Goerke, born 11 Aug 1915, married Anna
Marie Jul 15, 1945
and died December 21, 1986.
